Devaki Nandana Vasudeva blend family elements with devotional elements – Arjun Jandhyala

superstar Krishna grandson, superstar Mahesh Babu’s nephew Ashok Galla is all set to entertain with his second movie ‘Devaki Nandana Vasudeva’. The film is directed by Arjun Jandhyala, who scored a hit with Guna 369. Narrated by Prashant Varma. Somineni is produced by Balakrishna under the banner of Lalithambika Productions under the banner of Nallapaneni Yamini. The teaser, trailer and songs have already created a good buzz about the movie. The movie will hit theaters on November 22. On this occasion, director Arjun Jandhyala shared the features of the film in a press conference.

Why is there such a gap for your second film after ‘Guna 369’?
-There should be no gap. Naturally everyone got a gap of one or two years due to Corona. Later, I have been traveling with this project for almost a year and a half. If you look at it like this, there is no gap.
Kansu and Krishna reference seen in ‘Devaki Nandana Vasudeva’ trailer? Is the story inspired?
-That reference will be included. We have made it very clear in the trailer itself that death is due to the third child. But there are many things that are not mentioned. There is much more story in the movie than in the trailer.
These days movies with devotional content are becoming successful, isn’t this story made in that style?

• So what? We locked this story before the release of Hanuman.
• Me and the producer wanted to make a movie together. Also the producer has a commitment to Prashanth. I told Ashok Galla a story earlier. Prashanth told this story while the work was going on. Ashok liked it. We all have a very good bonding. Prashanth likes the film Guna that I have made. He thought that I am okay with this story. That is how this project was done.
  What changes did you make to the story told by Prashanth?
• As a director should own the story. Doing so will bring some ideas. The story seems to be told more wonderfully. Prashant felt happy about some of the ideas I said. He felt a lot of surprise after seeing the movie.
  Ashok looks very new in this movie. What kind of care was taken in terms of look?
• We worked a lot on what kind of look would be good for this story and his character. We have designed everything from that character.
• Ashok garu will do it in action emotion. This movie was done very well. He worked very hard for his role.
  After watching the trailer many are correcting with Murari?
• Murari has a sense of destiny. In this it is the other way around. Hero has a gun. It will be interesting to see how they get out of that mess. That is why in the trailer we have said that there is an idol of Vasudeva with Sudarshana Chakra on the ground like nowhere else. It has a connection. The audience goes into a separate trance while watching it. I can say that for sure.
  Are you going to show the movie to Mahesh Babu?
  -Mahesh Babu liked the trailer very much. He posted on social media appreciating all the team. Also going to watch the movie. All those who have seen the movie so far have appreciated that it is amazing.
  About heroine Manasa Varanasi?
  Manasa is Miss India 2020. She has a very good preference for her character and is a perfect fit for this character. Very strong character.
  About Devadatta as Kamsaraj?
  -Devadatta garu played the role of Kamsaraj very well. He will get a very good name with this movie.
  How did he blend family elements with devotional elements?
• This movie will be liked by the family audience. It is a good emotional action entertainer. The word dharma which means God is also very important in this. Its essence goes underline in the story. Also there are out and out commercial elements. Everyone will enjoy it. The visual effects in the movie are very natural. It has a very good visual feeling.
  Why is Vizianagaram a backdrop for this movie?
  It seemed that such a temple and that location would be apt for this story. It gives a very new experience to the audience.
  What are the elements in this film that you find challenging?
  -A successful director should do 100% justice to the given story. Also, this movie should definitely be a hit. Working with these two in mind is challenging.
  About Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues?
  -Sai Madhav has written many wonderful dialogues. He captured the emotional depth and spoke to suit the story.
  Bheems gave life to this movie with his background score. Musically, the film is wonderful.

  Balakrishna is a very passionate producer. The movie was made in a grander manner by providing everything that this story needs.
  About new projects?
• A story is ready. I will focus on this after the release of ‘Devaki Nandana Vasudeva’.
