A young man falls into the trap of loan apps due to false prestige, leading to severe hardships. “Thakita Thadhimi Thandana” is a trendy entertainer that makes you think while keeping you entertained.

Starring Ganaditya (Murder fame) and Priya Kommineni, a Telugu actress, this film marks the directorial debut of Raj Lohith and the production debut of Chandan Kumar Koppula under the Yellow Mango Entertainment banner. A software engineer turned producer, Chandan Kumar Koppula has brought this film to audiences through Cinetaria Media Works, releasing it on February 27. The cast also includes Gangavva, Satish Saripalli, and others in key roles.

Director Raj Lohith has crafted this film to give young professionals—who believe their monthly salaries will flow indefinitely—a reality check.

Performances

Ganaditya, who has also acted in the web series Sammelanam, embodies the struggles of today’s youth. With some fine-tuning, he has the potential for a promising career as a lead actor.

Debut actress Priya Kommineni, a true Telugu girl, brings a fresh feel to the screen. Audiences tired of watching non-Telugu heroines will appreciate her presence. With some improvement in expressions, she can certainly win over the audience.

Though Gangavva appears only briefly, her role significantly contributes to the story. Satish Saripalli, who plays the heroine’s father, delivers a commendable performance.

Interestingly, Chandan Kumar Koppula, being a software engineer himself, plays the role of a software company owner in the film. His performance is surprisingly natural, proving that he can balance both production and acting.

Technical Aspects

Editing by Harishankar is a strong asset to the film.

Music by Narain Reddy is decent but could have been improved with more effort.

Direction & Writing: Raj Lohith, who also wrote the story and dialogues, scores well as a writer. However, as a director, he slightly struggles in execution. The narration could have been faster, the audio quality better, and the chemistry between the lead pair more engaging. Despite these flaws, considering the budget limitations and practical challenges, the director deserves appreciation.

One standout scene showcases the protagonist, burdened by false prestige, drowning in loans. Eventually, he lets go of his ego, looks for alternative jobs, and even works as a Swiggy delivery boy for temporary relief. These moments reflect the director’s storytelling ability.

Final Verdict

With this debut, Chandan Kumar Koppula introduces a talented director and a fresh Telugu heroine to the industry. This clean, youthful entertainer, combined with a subtle message, is commendable.

Unlike many modern films that include unnecessary vulgarity, the romantic scenes between the lead pair here remain poetic and tasteful, making them enjoyable for the youth.

“మర్డర్” ఫేమ్ గణాదిత్య – అచ్చ తెలుగమ్మాయి “ప్రియ కొమ్మినేని” జంటగా.. రాజ్ లోహిత్ ను దర్శకుడిగా పరిచయం చేస్తూ.. తాను నిర్మాతగా అరంగేట్రం చేస్తూ… “ఎల్లో మ్యాంగో ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్” పతాకంపై.. సాఫ్ట్వేర్ ఇంజినీర్ టర్నెడ్ ప్రొడ్యూసర్ “చందన్ కుమార్ కొప్పుల” నుంచి వచ్చిన ఈ చిత్రం ఫిబ్రవరి 27న సినెటేరియా మీడియా వర్క్స్ ద్వారా విడుదలైంది. గంగవ్వ, సతీష్ సారిపల్లి తదితరులు ఇతర ముఖ్యపాత్రలు పోషించారు. “ఎప్పటికీ ఇలాగే పెద్ద మొత్తంలో నెలనెలా జీతం అకౌంట్ లో క్రెడిట్ అయిపోతుందనే భ్రమలో, కలల్లో విహరించే కుర్రాళ్లకు కొంతలోకొంత కనువిప్పు కలిగేలా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని తెరకెక్కించాడు యువ దర్శకుడు రాజ్ లోహిత్.

రామ్ గోపాల్ వర్మ “మర్డర్”తోపాటు… “సమ్మేళనం” అనే వెబ్ సిరీస్ లో నటించిన గణాదిత్య నేటి యువతరానికి ప్రతినిధిలా తన పాత్రలో ఒదిగిపోయాడు. తనను తాను ఇంకొంచెం సానబెట్టుకుంటే ఈ కుర్రాడికి హీరోగా మంచి భవిష్యత్ ఉంటుంది. హీరోయిన్ గా పరిచయమైన తెలుగమ్మాయి “ప్రియ కొమ్మినేని”కి కూడా. పరభాషా హీరోయిన్లను చూసి చూసి విసిగిపోతున్న ప్రేక్షకులకు ఫ్రెష్ ఫీల్ ఇస్తుంది. హావభావాలపై మరి కాస్త దృష్టి పెడితే, ఈ అచ్చ తెలుగమ్మాయికి కూడా ప్రేక్షకులు కచ్చితంగా పట్టం కడతారు. గంగవ్వ కనిపించేది కాసేపే అయినా… కథకు/సినిమాకు చాలా హెల్పయ్యే పాత్ర. హీరోయిన్ తండ్రి పాత్రధారి సతీష్ సారిపల్లి కూడా మంచి మార్కులే స్కోర్ చేస్తాడు. స్వతహా సాఫ్ట్వేర్ ఇంజినీర్ అయిన నిర్మాత చందన్.. ఇందులో ఓ సాఫ్ట్వేర్ కంపెనీ ఓనర్ గా కనిపిస్తారు. “నిర్మాణంతోపాటు… నటనపై కూడా ఫోకస్ పెట్టొచ్చు” అనేంతగా… తన నటన చాలా నేచురల్ గా ఉంది. హరిశంకర్ ఎడిటింగ్ ఈ చిత్రానికి ఎస్సెట్. నరేన్ రెడ్డి సంగీతం గురించి పెద్దగా వంకలు పెట్టడానికి ఏమీ లేకపోయినా… ఇంకొంచెం శ్రద్ధ పెట్టి ఉంటే బాగుండేదనిపిస్తుంది.

ఇక దర్శకత్వం విషయానికి వస్తే… స్వయంగా కథ – సంభాషణలు సమకూర్చుకున్న రాజ్ లోహిత్… రచయితగా మంచి మార్కులు స్కోర్ చేసినా… దర్శకుడిగా కొంచెం తడబడ్డాడనిపిస్తుంది. నేరేషన్ లో స్పీడ్ పెంచి, ఆడియో క్వాలిటీపరంగా కేర్ తీసుకుని… “మేడ్ ఫర్ ఈచ్ అదర్” అనిపించేలా ఉన్న హీరో-హీరోయిన్ మధ్య ఇంకొంచెం కెమిస్ట్రీ, ఎమోషన్స్ వర్కవుట్ అయ్యేలా జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకుని ఉంటే ఈ చిత్రం మరింత బాగుండేది. అయితే చిన్న చిత్రాలకుండే బడ్జెట్ పరిమితులు, ప్రాక్టికల్ డిఫికల్టీస్ గురించి కూడా ఆలోచించినప్పుడు.. దర్శకుడిగానూ అతన్ని మెచ్చుకోవచ్చు. ముఖ్యగా… హీరో ఏ ఫాల్స్ ప్రెస్టేజ్ తో అప్పులు పాలయ్యాడో… ఆ ఫాల్స్ ప్రెస్టేజ్ ని పక్కన పెట్టి, వేరే ఉద్యోగ ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తూనే, తాత్కాలిక ఉపశమనం కోసం “స్విగ్గి బాయ్” అవతారం ఎత్తడం వంటి సీన్స్ దర్శకుడి ప్రతిభకు అద్దం పడతాయి!!

ఇక ఈ చిత్రంతో నిర్మాతగానూ, నటుడిగానూ మారిన చందన్ కుమార్ కొప్పుల, తన తొలి ప్రయత్నంలొనే… ఓ ప్రతిభావంతుడ్ని దర్శకుడిగా, ఓ తెలుగమ్మాయిని హీరోయిన్ గా పరిచయం చెయ్యడం కచ్చితంగా అభినందనీయం. వినోదంతోపాటు చిన్న సందేశాన్ని జోడించి.. ఒక క్లీన్ యూత్ ఫుల్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ తో ప్రొడ్యూసర్ గా ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చిన చందన్ నుంచి కచ్చితంగా మరిన్ని మంచి చిత్రాలు ఆశించవచ్చు. యూత్ ఫుల్ చిత్రం అనగానే.. అనవసరమైన అసభ్యతను చొప్పించే నేటి కాలంలో… హీరోహీరోయిన్ల నడుమ వచ్చే రొమాంటిక్ సీన్స్.. శృతి మించకుండా, పొయిటిక్ గా తెరకెక్కించడం యూత్ కూడా ఇష్టపడేలా ఉన్నాయి.
