The Rise of Ashoka Trailer Unveiled
‘The Rise of Ashoka’, starring Sathish Ninasam as the hero and Sapthami Gowda of Kantara fame as the heroine, is being simultaneously made in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. The film is directed by Vinod V. Dhondale. Produced jointly by Vardhan Hari, Jaishnavi, and Sathish Ninasam under the banners of Vriddhi Creations and Sathish Picture House, the Telugu version is being distributed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by Kalasrushti International under Ravishankar. The film is set for release in all languages on the 27th of this month.
The Telugu trailer launch event was held on Friday in the presence of the film’s team. Actor Satyadev attended the event as the chief guest and released the trailer.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyadev said, “Telugu audiences always support content-driven films, and I believe they will support this one as well. After watching the trailer, audiences will definitely decide to watch the film. Rooted films coming from Kannada cinema are liked by Telugu viewers, and I’m sure this film falls into that category. During the Kannada release of my film Zebra, Sathish and Sapthami supported me. Sathish is a very good actor and has worked extremely hard for this movie. Sadly, the director passed away during the shoot, but Sathish took responsibility and brought the film to this stage. Telugu audiences always encourage good content. I hope Sapthami does more Telugu films in the future.”
Hero Sathish Ninasam said, “I have great respect for the Telugu language and I’m currently learning it. Ravishankar watched this film and is releasing it in Telugu, taking a big risk for us. Satyadev is like a brother to me, a very kind-hearted person. I met him during the Kannada release of his film Zebra. The trailer clearly shows that this is a content-driven film. Everyone should support such films. I regularly watch Telugu movies, and audiences here appreciate novelty and strong storytelling. We have the same faith in our film. ‘The Rise of Ashoka’ is not just a commercial film; it’s something very different.”
Sapthami Gowda said, “I hope everyone liked the trailer. We need the support of Telugu audiences. Thanks to Satyadev garu for releasing our trailer and encouraging us. ‘The Rise of Ashoka’ is a story about a village and a community, filled with strong emotions. It also connects closely with Telugu nativity. I’m sure Telugu audiences will enjoy this film. I play a character named Ambika in the movie. It carries a powerful message, and I’m very happy to be part of it.”
The producer said, “This is a film that will connect with Telugu audiences. We are releasing it grandly on the 27th in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.”
Kalasrushti head Ravishankar said, “We are releasing the film in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha through our banner. This is a very unique film. I feel proud to release it in Telugu. It will definitely be a blockbuster.”
The film also stars B. Suresh, Sampath, Maithreya, Gopal Krishna Deshapande, Yash Shetty, Jagappa, Ravishankar (Armugha), Dragon Manju, and others.
