Director Rahul Sankrityan Reveals the Effort Behind the Ranabaali Wedding Poster
The makers of Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, recently released a wedding poster and song glimpses from the film. The vintage-style poster, which looks very natural and authentic, has received a huge response. Since it was released just hours after the couple’s real-life wedding, audiences connected with it even more. Director Rahul Sankrityan recently took to social media to share the backstory behind the poster and the effort that went into designing it.
Responding about the poster, Rahul Sankrityan said that the recently released wedding poster from Ranabaali was not just a poster, but a moment. He mentioned that he has always loved old photographs. When we look at pictures taken by our parents and ancestors, they never appear artificial. They look as natural in those photos as they were in real life. There is an honesty visible in those photographs.
When he decided to make Ranabaali set in a historical backdrop, he wanted that same honesty to be reflected in every frame. Weddings in that era were simple yet dignified, without any extravagance, and marriage was believed to be a sacred lifelong bond. When Vijay and Rashmika stepped onto the set in their wedding costumes, he said they did not feel like actors. It felt as though a bride and groom from that period had walked in. The photograph was captured with a simple backdrop and minimal lighting.
Rahul added that when Vijay and Rashmika united in real life through marriage, it reminded him of filming the wedding scene in the movie. Sometimes, he said, cinema and life walk hand in hand.
Presented by T-Series and produced under the prestigious banner of Mythri Movie Makers by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, Ranabali is being made on a massive budget. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on September 11. The recently released title glimpse has already received a tremendous response. Ranabaali is a large-scale pan-India project set against the backdrop of the 19th century, based on real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878 during British rule.

డైరెక్టర్ రాహుల్ సంకృత్యన్ స్పందిస్తూ – రీసెంట్ గా మేము “రణబాలి” సినిమా నుంచి వెడ్డింగ్ పోస్టర్ రిలీజ్ చేశాం. అది పోస్టర్ మాత్రమే కాదు ఒక సందర్భం. పాత ఫొటోగ్రాఫ్స్ అంటే నాకు చాలా ఇష్టం. మన తల్లిదండ్రులు, మన పూర్వీకులు తీసుకున్న ఫొటోస్ చూస్తే ఎక్కడా అసహజంగా ఉండవు. వాళ్ల తమ జీవితాల్లో ఎలా ఉంటారో ఆ ఫొటోస్ లోనూ అంతే సహజంగా కనిపించేవారు. ఆ ఫొటోస్ లో నిజాయితీ కనిపించేది. 18వ శతాబ్దం నేపథ్యంగా “రణబాలి” చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించాలని నేను అనుకున్నప్పుడు ఇలాంటి నిజాయితీనే ప్రతి ఫ్రేమ్ లో ప్రదర్శించాలని భావించాను. ఎలాంటి హంగూ ఆర్భాటాలు లేని ఆ కాలంలో పెళ్లిలో ఒక హుందాతనం కనిపించేది, వివాహం అంటే ఒక శాశ్వత బంధం అనే నమ్మకం ఉండేది. ఈ చిత్రంలో పెళ్లి దుస్తుల్లో విజయ్, రశ్మిక సెట్ లో అడుగుపెట్టినప్పుడు నాకు యాక్టర్స్ లా అనిపించలేదు. ఆ కాలపు వధూవరులు నడిచివచ్చారా అనిపించింది. సింపుల్ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ లో, సింపుల్ లైటింగ్ లో ఆ ఫొటో క్యాప్చర్ చేశాం. విజయ్, రశ్మిక నిజ జీవితంలో వైవాహిక బంధంతో ఒక్కటైనప్పుడు మా మూవీలోని వెడ్డింగ్ సీన్ షూటింగ్ చేసిన సందర్భంగా గుర్తొచ్చింది. కొన్నిసార్లు సినిమా, జీవితం అడుగులో అడుగేస్తాయి. అని పేర్కొన్నారు.
