The upcoming fantasy-comedy entertainer Rākāsā has registered a major business milestone ahead of its theatrical release. The Telugu States theatrical rights of the film have been bagged by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a big-ticket deal, underlining the strong trade confidence the project has generated in the lead-up to its release. The development marks a significant step in the film’s release journey, signalling that the industry sees considerable potential in the film’s theatrical prospects.
The deal further strengthens the film’s expanding distribution network as the makers prepare for a wide global rollout. While Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers will be releasing the film across the Telugu States, RaaKaaSaa is simultaneously gearing up for a large-scale overseas launch. International distribution will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, which is planning a release across more than 350 international screens, spanning key territories including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Distribution responsibilities for the crucial North America and United Kingdom markets will be handled by Prathyangira Cinemas, ensuring the film reaches audiences across major overseas hubs. Overseas premieres are scheduled for April 2, 2026, a day ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release.
Beyond theatrical distribution, the film has also secured notable non-theatrical partnerships that further reinforce its market positioning. The digital streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix, while the audio rights have been bagged by Saregama Music, one of India’s most reputed music labels. These alliances collectively add to the film’s commercial ecosystem and underline the growing anticipation surrounding the project.
The promotional campaign for Rākāsā has also been generating strong digital traction. The film’s title glimpse has crossed 1.9 million views, while the teaser has moved past 2.8 million views, drawing considerable engagement online. The first single “Rapappa” quickly struck a chord with listeners, crossing 1.1 million views on YouTube. The recently released second single “Padhe Padhe”, sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan, composed by Anudeep Dev, and written by lyricist Kittu Vissapragada, has also crossed the 1 million view mark.
