#RAPO23 Launched Grandly With Pooja Ceremony – Regular Shoot Commences
Energetic Star Ram Pothineni has finally begun his most ambitious project, #RAPO23, which reflects years of imagination, passion, and meticulous planning. Marking his directorial debut, the film is produced by Krishna Pothineni under the newly established Rapo Cinematics banner on a massive scale, and this is the highest budgeted movie for Ram.
The project was launched on a grand note today with a traditional pooja ceremony. Producer Krishna Pothineni ceremoniously handed over the script to Ram Pothineni. For the auspicious muhurtham shot on God’s portrait, P Murali Mohan switched on the camera, while PV Ravi Kishore sounded the clapboard. Marking the beginning of his filmmaking journey, Ram Pothineni directed the first shot himself.
The film’s regular shoot also commenced today at the outskirts of Hyderabad. Ram Pothineni has joined the shoot as the lead actor and is participating alongside the film’s prominent cast.
What makes #RAPO23 truly special is that it is driven by an original story conceived and written by Ram himself. He has envisioned it as a one-of-its-kind psychological action thriller set against an intense neo-noir backdrop. The story explores unexplored themes through gripping character arcs, making it one of the most distinctive concepts attempted in Telugu cinema.
Apart from directing and writing the film, Ram also plays the lead role, taking on one of the most demanding performances of his career. His dual responsibility behind and in front of the camera underlines the scale of his commitment to bringing this unique vision to life.

National Award-winning cinematographer Thirunavukarasu (Thirru) will create the film’s visually immersive neo-noir atmosphere with his signature style, while celebrated action choreographer Peter Hein is designing powerful action sequences that promise both realism and cinematic grandeur. Production designer AS Prakash is constructing massive, specially designed sets to bring Ram’s ambitious vision to life with stunning authenticity.
