Deva Katta Clarifies Rumours, Says He Is Focused on Developing His Next Film

Filmmaker Deva Katta has addressed recent speculation surrounding his professional commitments, clarifying that he is currently focused on writing and developing his next film.

In a social media post on Thursday, the director shared that he has been spending most of his time working on his upcoming project and expressed enthusiasm about the journey ahead. While stopping short of revealing further details, Katta indicated that he looks forward to sharing updates about what he described as his “most ambitious work yet” when the time is right.

The filmmaker also used the opportunity to dismiss rumours suggesting that he is directing portions of other projects. Calling such reports rumours circulated “in bad taste to get clicks,” Katta stated that he is “not at all directing even a single shot from any other films.”

The clarification comes at a time when the filmmaker remains associated with multiple creative ventures, including his work as a dialogue writer on Varanasi and the recently released political drama series Mayasabha.

For now, Katta has chosen to keep his next project under wraps. His latest statement, however, makes one thing clear: his primary focus remains on developing his own upcoming film while putting speculation about other directing assignments to rest.
