Vijay Shankar, Siri Chowdary and Khayyum Starrer Mr Deyyam Launched with a Grand Pooja Ceremony

The upcoming Telugu film, ‘Mr Deyyam’, starring Vijay Shankar, Siri Chowdary and Khayyum in lead roles, was grandly launched with a traditional pooja ceremony on Friday. Directed by Sanjana Anne and produced under the Anne Creations banner, the film is presented by Shourya Arya.

The launch ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities, including Manchu Manoj, Ali, Vijay Kanakamedala, RP Patnaik, Patnam Mahender Reddy, Ramesh Puppala, Sameer, Chintu, Veera Shankar, Raja Vannem Reddy, VN Adithya, Jyotsna, Labour Commissioner Gangadhar and choreographer Vijay Polaki, who graced the occasion as special guests.

Manchu Manoj sounded the clapboard for the auspicious muhurtham shot, while Ali switched on the camera. Vijay Kanakamedala directed the first shot, and VN Adithya and RP Patnaik handed over the script to the team, marking an auspicious beginning for the project.

*Speaking at the event, director Sanjana Anne thanked all the guests* who attended the launch and expressed her gratitude to the media for its continued support throughout her journey. She requested the media to extend the same encouragement to ‘Mr Deyyam’ as well.

*Actor Khayyum expressed his happiness* about being part of the film, stating that the title was appealing and that he would be playing a good role. He expressed confidence that audiences would continue to support him and his upcoming film.

*Vijay Shankar thanked* everyone who attended the launch and said he was delighted to be working with such a wonderful production house. He revealed that the film, directed by Sanjana Anne, would be a complete entertainer with comedy at its core, complemented by never-before-seen horror elements. He expressed confidence that ‘Mr Deyyam’ would emerge as one of the best horror films.

*Siri Chowdary thanked* the guests for their presence and announced that the film’s shoot would commence in the first week of November. She sought the audience’s continued love and support for the project.

*Actor Ping Pong Surya stated* that ‘Mr Deyyam’ would make audiences laugh while also frightening them. Having previously worked with Sanjana Anne, he expressed confidence that the film would entertain audiences across the board.

Mr Deyyam’s first look poster has also been unveiled, and it sets the tone for a visually rich horror-comedy. At the centre of the poster is a skeleton dressed as a royal groom, complete with an ornate cream-and-red turban, dark sunglasses, traditional wedding attire and floral garlands. Seated on an intricately carved throne, the skeletal figure holds a walking stick, creating an unusual mix of regal grandeur and dark humour.

The eerie atmosphere is heightened by a full moon shining through stormy clouds, a shadowy temple in the background, flickering lanterns, hanging marigold garlands, scattered skulls and mysterious supernatural figures with glowing red eyes. The dramatic combination of fiery orange tones and deep blue shadows lends the poster a distinctive horror aesthetic, while the elaborate, blood-dripping title design adds to its spooky appeal.

With its unusual central character, elaborate visual detailing and a blend of traditional imagery and supernatural elements, the poster hints at an entertaining mix of horror and comedy. The film’s announcement and launch have set the stage for its upcoming shooting schedule.
