Eesha Will Be a New Kind of Horror Thriller – Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati

Producers Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati, who recently delivered cult superhits like Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi, are now bringing a horror thriller titled Eesha to audiences. The film is being produced under the banners of Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vaas Works and will be released theatrically on December 25 in a grand manner.

The film stars Akhil Raj—who recently delivered a hit with Raju Weds Rambayi—and Trigun in lead roles, with Hebah Patel playing the female lead. Siri Hanumanthu, Babloo, and Prithviraj are playing other important roles. The film is being produced by Hem Venkateswara Rao under the HVR Productions banner and is presented by renowned producer K. L. Damodar Prasad. Directed by Srinivas Manne, the film’s recently released trailer received an unexpected and strong response.

As the film approaches its release date, producers Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati interacted with the media and shared their insights.

When asked whether this third project was chosen out of belief in the content or due to obligation after delivering two back-to-back blockbusters, Bunny Vaas said, “This is not an obligation. Even if we do take up a film, it is only when we like the content. If we don’t like it, we immediately suggest alternate options. We associated with Eesha only because we believed in the content.”

On why they chose the horror genre this time, Vamsi Nandipati stated, “The film is very good. Within the first ten minutes, everyone will understand why we made this movie. It remains gripping and scary throughout. It’s a horror and thriller. The last fifteen minutes of the film are very unique.”

When asked whether the film would live up to expectations attached to their names, Bunny Vaas replied, “Even if some of my own films failed, they never failed in distribution. I strongly believe this film won’t fail. It will definitely meet audience expectations. When Mitramandali failed, I accepted the audience’s verdict and moved on the next day. I believe that no film I’ve done with Vamsi has ever failed. We took the decision to proceed with Eesha after watching the first copy. This film will definitely justify our belief in it.”

On whether the film would be similar to Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi, Vamsi Nandipati said, “It should not be compared to those films. With those two films, what we expected is exactly what happened. The same will happen with Eesha. The first fifteen minutes will be impactful. The climax scenes will be stunning.”

Regarding plans for 2026, Bunny Vaas shared, “These days, publicity for small films has become very innovative. If the content is good, films are performing well. I will announce three films in February 2026—one under Geetha Arts and two under Bunny Vaas Works.”

Addressing concerns that horror films are meant for limited audiences, especially with warnings like “not for those with heart conditions,” Vamsi Nandipati said, “This is not merely a horror film. It will work for everyone. Yes, there’s a specific audience for this genre, but the last twenty minutes of Eesha won’t feel like a typical horror film. Audiences will feel that the film conveys a meaningful message.”

On their strategic approach to marketing and distribution—seen in their past releases like Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi—Vamsi Nandipati stated, “We go beyond what traditional distributors do. From the edit room itself, we make necessary changes and release the film according to a planned strategy. We involve ourselves in RR (re-recording), music, marketing, and even close non-theatrical rights. We are creating a new trend. We are releasing films based on a complete strategy.”

 బన్నీవాస్‌ : ఇది అబ్లీగేషన్‌ కాదు. ఒకవేళ తీసుకున్నా ఇది కంటెంట్‌ నచ్చితేనే మాత్రమే తీసుకున్నాం.  సినిమా నచ్చకపోతే వెంటనే వాళ్లకు వేరే ప్రత్యామ్నాయ మార్గం చెబుతాం. ఈసినిమా కంటెంట్‌ మీద నమ్మంతోనే అసోసియేట్‌ అయ్యాం.

వంశీ నందిపాటి: సినిమా బాగుంది. మొదటి పది నిమిషాల్లోనే మీకు మేము ఈ సినిమా ఎందుకు తీసుకున్నామో.. అందరికి అర్థమవుతుంది. సినిమా ఆద్యంతం ఎంతో ఆసక్తిగా భయంగా ఉంటుంది. హారర్‌ అండ్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌ ఈ సినిమా ఇది. చివరి 15 నిమిషాలు, సినిమా చాలా కొత్తగా ఉంటుంది.

మీనుంచి సినిమా అనగానే అందరిలో ఎక్స్‌పెక్టేషన్స్‌ ఉంటాయి. ఈ సినిమా ఆ అంచనాలను అందుకుంటుందా?
బన్నీ వాస్‌: నా సొంత సినిమాల్లో ఫెయిల్‌ అయినా డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్స్‌లో ఫెయిల్‌ కాలేదు. ఈ సినిమా విషయంలో ఫెయిల్‌ కాను అనే నమ్మకం ఉంది. ఇది ఆడియన్స్‌ ఎక్స్‌పెక్టేషన్స్‌కు తప్పకుండా రీచ్‌ అవుతుంది. మిత్రమండలి ఫెయిల్‌ అయినా ప్రేక్షకుల తీర్పును అంగీకరించి మరుసటి రోజే ఆ సినిమా గురించి మరిచిపోయాను. నేను వంశీ కలిసి చేసిన ఏ సినిమా కూడా ఫెయిల్‌కాదనే నమ్మకం ఉంది. ఈషా కూడా ఫస్ట్‌కాపీ చూసి తీసుకున్నాం. తప్పకుండా ఈ సినిమా మా నమ్మకాన్ని నిలబెడుతుంది.

లిటిల్‌హార్ట్స్‌, రాజు వెడ్స్‌ రాంబాయి సినిమాల తరహాలోనే ఇది కూడా ఉంటుందా?
వంశీ నందిపాటి : లిటిల్‌హార్ట్స్‌, రాజువెడ్స్‌ రాంబాయితో కంపేర్‌ చేయకూడాదు.దానితో పోల్చకూడదు. ఈ రెండు సినిమాల విషయంలో ఏది అనుకున్నామో అదే జరిగింది. ఈషా విషయంలో కూడా మేము అనుకున్నది జరుగుతుంది. తొలిపదిహేను నిమిషాలు అదిరిపోతుంది. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు స్టనింగ్‌గా ఉంటాయి.

2026 మీ ప్లానింగ్‌ ఎలా ఉంది?
బన్నీవాస్‌ ఈ మద్య చిన్నసినిమాల పబ్లిసిటి చాలా ఇన్నోవేటింగ్‌గాచేస్తున్నారు.కంటెంట్‌ బాగుంటే సినిమాలు ఆడుతున్నాయి. 2026లో నా సినిమాలు మూడు ఫిబ్రవరిలో అనౌన్స్‌ చేస్తాను. గీతా ఆర్ట్స్‌లో ఓ సినిమా, బన్నీవాస్‌ వర్క్స్‌లో కూడా రెండు సినిమాలు ఉంటాయి.

హార్ట్‌ వీక్‌ ఉన్నవాళ్లు, ఈ సినిమా చూడకూడదు అన్నారు.. ఇలాంటి హారర్‌ సినిమాలకు ప్రత్యేకమైన లిమిటెడ్‌ ఆడియన్స్‌ ఉంటారు కదా?
వంశీ నంది పాటి: ఇది కేవలం హారర్‌ సినిమానే కాదు అందరికి వర్కవుట్‌ అవుతుంది. దీనికి ప్రత్యేకమైన ఆడియన్స్‌ ఉంటారు. ఈ సినిమా లాస్ట్‌ 20 నిమిషాలు హారర్‌ సినిమాలా ఉండదు.ఓ మంచి విషయం చెప్పారని ఫీల్‌ అవుతారు.

ట్రైలర్‌ కట్‌ బాగుంది ? సినిమా ఆ తరహాలో ఉంటుందా?
 బన్నీవాస్‌: ఇది ఓ మంచి చిత్రం. సినిమా చూసిన వారు ఓ గుడ్‌ సినిమా చూశామనే ఫీల్‌ ఉంటుంది. ఈ గుడ్‌ సినిమా జనాల్లోకి ఎంత వెళుతున్నానేది విడుదల తరువాత తెలుస్తుంది. సినిమా చాలా గ్రిప్పింగ్‌గా ఉంటుంది.

వంశీ నందిపాటి: ఈ జానర్‌ నుంచి ఏది ఎక్స్‌పెక్టేషన్స్‌ చేస్తారో అవి అన్ని ఈ చిత్రంలో ఉంటాయి.

ఈషా ప్రాజెక్ట్‌లోకి మీరు ఎంటర్‌ అయినా తరువాత చేసిన మార్పులేమిటి?
బన్నీవాస్‌ : చిన్న చిన్న మార్పులు, ఓ ఆరు నిమిషాలు నిడివి తగ్గించాం. ఆర్‌ఆర్‌లో చిన్న చిన్న మార్పులు చేశాం. మనం చెప్పే మార్పును అంతా తొందరగా ఒప్పుకునే దర్శకుడు కాదు. అయిన కూడా కన్వీన్స్‌ అయినా మార్పులు మాత్రమే చేశాం.

ఈ సినిమాను థియేటర్‌లో ఎలా ఉండబోతుంది.
థియేట్రికల్‌ ఎక్స్‌పీరియన్స్‌ చాలా బాగుంటుంది. సినిమా ఎవరినీ డిజప్పాయింట్‌ చేయదు.
