The trailer launch of ‘Rakasa’ unfolded in a charged, high-energy atmosphere at the Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science, where a two-day national-level techno-cultural and sports fest is currently underway. With the trailer having been released just hours earlier, the team brought the film directly into a vibrant student setting, turning the launch into a lively on-ground celebration. Blending the immediacy of a fresh digital drop with the scale of a packed campus event, the launch quickly evolved into an engaging, crowd-driven experience, marked by humour, interaction, and an unmistakable surge of electric student energy.
Before the on-stage interactions began, a series of specially designed audio-visuals introduced Niharika Konidela, Sangeeth Sobhan, Nayana Sarika and Getup Srinu through individual, character-driven segments. Each AV leaned into a distinct tone, using humour and peculiar presentation to highlight their personalities in an entertaining way, striking an immediate chord with the student crowd and setting a lively, informal mood for what followed.
Opening the on-stage interactions on a note of gratitude and excitement, representing Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers, Subba Reddy shared, “I’m very happy to launch the trailer here. The energy and josh among all of you is incredible. If the trailer feels this powerful, the cinema is going to be even bigger and more exciting. The concept of ‘Rakasa’ is very rooted and deeply connected to folklore, which makes it special. I would like to thank Manyam Ramesh garu and Niharika garu for giving us this film. Thank you.”
Keeping the energy upbeat and conversational, Getup Srinu added, “Hello MITians, the josh here is amazing! We’re really happy to be here and share this event with all of you. ‘Rakasa’ is a very well-made film and it has all the elements that you guys love. Sangeeth, Nayan and I have got some great roles in the film, and Manasa Sharma has written and made it wonderfully. And all of this is possible because of our producer Niharika gaaru. Also, thanks to the college administration for hosting us.”
Joining in with a burst of excitement, Nayana Sarika said, “Hello MITians, I’m very excited to be here. Launching the trailer with all of you makes it even more special, and the energy here is just crazy!” — a moment that quickly turned playful as she spoke about the local onion market and a certain Rama Swamy, only to realise it was a prank set up on stage, drawing laughter from the crowd.
Stepping in to clear the playful confusion, producer Niharika Konidela addressed the crowd, confirming the prank and adding, “Wow, super energy! One of the best things we did for ‘Rakasa’ was to launch the trailer here in Madanapalle — we couldn’t have pulled off such a huge crowd even in Hyderabad. Thank you so much for bringing in so much energy, it looks like this is a superb college, and thank you for such a warm welcome. ‘Rakasa’ is all set to release on April 3 , and I really hope our chartbuster album and trailer are enough to pull you all to the theatres. ‘Rakasa’ is going to be a full out-and-out entertainer of this summer. Feeding directly off the crowd’s response, Sangeeth Sobhan said, “Hey guys, you guys like it right! Louder! Yes! Thank you guys, thank you! Whatever the fun you are having here, you had watching trailer — 100% that will be, and 100 times more it will be there in the film, that’s my guarantee. My films will never have any messages, it will have only entertainment. April 3 is going to be the biggest Friday for us, and thank you guys for hosting us. I love this energy, and I really want to visit here for my every film.”
Following the interactions, the team joined the students on stage for the popular “Snake Dance” hook step, turning the moment into a lively, participatory celebration with the crowd cheering along. The event concluded with a memento presentation to the guests by the Vice Chancellor, bringing a formal close to the high-spirited session.
