Pallichattambi is our dream project. From April 10 it will become everyone’s movie – Tovino Thomas

Malayalam star hero Tovino Thomas is starring in the big-budget film “Pallichattambi.” The movie is being produced by Noufal, Brijeesh, and Chanukya, Chaitanya, Charan under the banners of World Wide Films and C Cube Bros Entertainments. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film features Kayadu Lohar as the heroine. The movie has created huge pan-India expectations and is set for a grand theatrical release on April 10 in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. A grand release press meet was held today in Hyderabad.

Lyricist Rambabu Gosala said, “I wrote the songs for the Telugu version of ‘Palli Chattambi.’ This is my third film with Tovino Thomas. Earlier, I wrote songs for his films ‘Mayanadhi’ and ‘Vyuham.’ Tovino Thomas is famous across India. Kayadu’s first film was ‘Alluri,’ for which I wrote all the songs. Jakes Bejoy is a very talented music director. After ‘Thudarum’ and ‘Kotha Lokah,’ I am now writing lyrics for this film as well. I hope this movie becomes a big success.”

Actor Shatru said, “This is my first Malayalam film. I was surprised when the director narrated the story, it felt very interesting. I’m playing a key role in this movie, and I dubbed for my character myself. It was a happy experience acting alongside Tovino.”

Associate Producer Meghashyam said, “I thank Eluru Sreenu, Bunny Vas, Maruthi, TG Vishwaprasad, Vivek, and all the elders who supported me and helped me stand on this stage. ‘Pallichattambi’ is an emotional action entertainer. Director Dijo Jose Antony has made it very engaging. Our entire team worked very hard, and the output is excellent. This is my second film with Tovino and Kayadu. Bunny Vasu garu is supporting our Telugu release. I request the audience to watch and support our film in theatres.”

Producer and Distributor Bunny Vas said, “Maruthi garu introduced this producers’ team to me. After speaking with them, I realized they were making a prestigious film. They took me to Kochi and showed me the film. It was surprising to see Telugu producers go to Kerala and make such a huge film. Technically, the film is of very high quality and grand scale. For Telugu audiences, it will feel like a fresh commercial film. Usually, we think of Malayalam movies as concept-oriented, but ‘Palli Chattambi’ is a large-scale commercial entertainer. It will be a big success in Telugu as well. Meghashyam, who worked with us years ago, is now an associate producer on this film, it makes me very happy. We released Tovino’s ‘2018’ in Telugu, and it was a big success. His performance and action sequences in this film are impressive – I was reminded of Mohanlal. Kayadu will gain many more fans after this film. I really liked the director’s execution and editing. If you want to watch a new kind of commercial film, watch ‘Pallichattambi’ in theatres.”

Director Dijo Jose Antony said, “This is my fourth film as a director. Telugu audiences appreciated my previous film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with Prithviraj Sukumaran. Director Rajamouli garu also responded positively to that film. ‘Pallichattambi’ will also appeal to you. It has a simple story that connects with everyone. The main theme is that all humans are one. I made the film with the concept ‘Love, Live, Love.’ ‘Pallichattambi’ is actually a term and represents a character in the story, so we retained the same title in all languages. The film is set in 1950s Kerala. Even though times and politics change, human struggles remain the same. We wanted to bring that authenticity to the screen, so we made it as a period film.”

Actress Kayadu Lohar said, “‘Pallichattambi’ is a special film for me. I played the character Rebecca, which is very close to my heart. Audiences will love not just her beauty but also her personality. It is like a dream role for me. I thank director Dijo for giving me such a wonderful character. Our team went through a long journey for this film. It will definitely be a success, and we will celebrate together. Tovino is a great co-star and very inspiring to work with. Without ‘Pallichattambi,’ there is no Rebecca. It’s a beautiful film. Please watch it in theatres on the 10th. You will walk out with a strong emotional feeling that will stay with you.”

Hero Tovino Thomas said, “Director Dijo and I have been planning to do this project for a few years, and it finally happened. The film is set in the 1950s. We did a lot of research to recreate that era authentically. We have presented a 1950s story in a way that appeals to 2026 audiences. Such a film is only possible with a passionate team. Dijo and I are already discussing more projects together. He became a good friend during the shoot. Producers Charan, Chaitanya, and Chanakya worked as a team to turn their dream into reality. Without producers like Noufal and Brijesh, a dream project like ‘Pallichattambi’ wouldn’t have been completed, they are the backbone of this film. Shatru, who played an important role, also became a good friend. Kayadu prepared a lot for her role, and I could see her passion for acting. Acting in multiple languages at once is not easy, but she is impressing audiences across languages. I’m happy to work with such a co-star. ప్రొడ్యూసర్, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్ బన్నీ వాస్ మాట్లాడుతూ – మారుతి గారు ఈ  ప్రొడ్యూసర్స్ టీమ్ ను పరిచయం చేశారు. వాళ్లతో మాట్లాడిన తర్వాత ఒక ప్రెస్టీజియస్ మూవీ చేస్తున్నారని తెలిసింది. కొచ్చి తీసుకెళ్లి ఈ సినిమా చూపించారు. మన తెలుగు వాళ్లు కేరళ వెళ్లి ఇలాంటి ఒక భారీ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మించడం ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని కలిగించింది. సినిమా టెక్నికల్ చాలా క్వాలిటీగా హ్యూజ్ గా ఉంటుంది. తెలుగు ఆడియెన్స్ కు ఒక కొత్త కమర్షియల్ మూవీ అవుతుంది. మలయాళం మూవీస్ అంటే మనం కాన్సెప్ట్ ఓరియెంటెడ్ మూవీస్ గాన భావిస్తాం కానీ పళ్లిచట్టంబి ఒక భారీ మంచి కమర్షియల్ మూవీ.  తెలుగులో ఈ సినిమా పెద్ద విజయం సాధిస్తుంది. మా దగ్గరకు పదేళ్ల క్రితం వచ్చి మాతో ట్రావెల్ అయిన మేఘశ్యామ్ ఈ సినిమాకు అసోసియేట్ ప్రొడ్యూసర్ గా వర్క్ చేయడం హ్యాపీగా ఉంది. టొవినో గారు చేసిన 2018 చిత్రాన్ని తెలుగులో రిలీజ్ చేశాం. మంచి సక్సెస్ అయ్యింది. ఈ చిత్రంలో ఆయన పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్, ఫైట్స్ ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. నాకు మోహన్ లాల్ గారిని చూసినట్లు అనిపించింది. ఈ సినిమా తర్వాత కయదుకు మరింతమంది ఫ్యాన్స్ పెరుగుతారు. డైరెక్టర్ ఈ మూవీని తీసిన విధానం, ఎడిటింగ్ చేయించిన విధానం బాగా నచ్చింది. ఒక న్యూ కమర్షియల్ మూవీ చూడాలంటే పళ్లిచట్టంబి థియేటర్స్ లో చూడండి. అన్నారు.
 
డైరెక్టర్ డిజో జోస్ ఆంటోనీ మాట్లాడుతూ – నేను డైరెక్ట్ చేసి నాలుగో చిత్రమిది. తెలుగు ఆడియెన్స్ పృథ్వీరాజ్ సుకుమారన్ తో నేను చేసిన గత చిత్రం జనగణమన కు తమ అప్రిషియేషన్ ఇచ్చారు. డైరెక్టర్ రాజమౌళి గారు మా మూవీ గురించి స్పందించారు. పళ్లిచట్టంబి కూడా మీకు నచ్చేలా ఉంటుంది. ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ కనెక్ట్ అయ్యే సింపుల్ స్టోరీ ఇది. మనుషులంతా ఒక్కటే అనేది ఈ మూవీ ప్రధాన కథాంశం. లవ్, లివ్, లవ్ అనే కాన్సెప్ట్ తో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించాను. పళ్లిచట్టంబి అనేది ఒక టర్మ్. కథలో టైటిల్ రోల్. అందుకే టైటిల్ ను మార్చకుండా ప్రతి భాషలోనూ ఇదే టైటిల్ తో రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్నాం. కేరళలో 50వ దశకంలో జరిగిన ఘటన ఈ సినిమాకు నేపథ్యం. పొలిటికల్ గా ఎన్ని మార్పులు వచ్చినా మనుషులుగా మన జీవిత సంఘర్షణ మారలేదు. ఆ ఒరిజినాలిటీ స్క్రీన్ మీదకు తెచ్చేందుకు పీరియాడిక్ గానే సినిమాను రూపొందించాం. అన్నారు.

హీరోయిన్ కయదు లోహర్ మాట్లాడుతూ – పళ్లిచట్టంబి నాకు ఒక స్పెషల్ మూవీ. ఈ సినిమాలో రెబెకా అనే క్యారెక్టర్ లో నటించాను. ఈ క్యారెక్టర్ నా మనసుకు ఎంతో దగ్గరైంది. రెబెకా అందంతో పాటు ఆమె వ్యక్తిత్వాన్ని ప్రేక్షకులు ఇష్టపడతారు. ఒకరకంగా నాకు డ్రీమ్ రోల్ ఇది. ఇలాంటి మంచి క్యారెక్టర్ లో నటించే అవకాశం కల్పించిన డైరెక్టర్ డిజోకు థ్యాంక్స్. ఈ మూవీ కోసం మా టీమ్ అంతా సుదీర్ఘమైన ప్రయాణం చేసింది. సినిమా తప్పకుండా విజయం సాధిస్తుంది. మనమంతా సక్సెస్ పార్టీ చేసుకుంటాం. టొవినో మంచి కోస్టార్. అతనితో కలిసి నటించడం ఇన్స్ పైరింగ్ గా ఉంటుంది. పళ్లిచట్టంబి లేకుంటే రెబెకా లేదు. పళ్లిచట్టంబి బ్యూటిఫుల్ మూవీ. ఈ నెల 10న థియేటర్స్ కు వెళ్లి చూడండి. ఈ సినిమా చూసి థియేటర్స్ నుంచి ఒక మంచి ఎమోషన్ తో బయటకు వస్తారు. ఆ ఫీలింగ్ మీ మనసులో ఉండిపోతుంది. అన్నారు.

హీరో టొవినో థామస్ మాట్లాడుతూ – నేను డైరెక్టర్ డిజో ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ చేయాలని గత కొన్నేళ్లుగా అనుకుంటున్నాం. ఇప్పటికి కుదిరింది. 50వ దశకం నేపథ్యంగా సాగే చిత్రమిది. అప్పటి వాతావరణం కనిపించేలా సినిమాను రూపొందించేందుకు చాలా రీసెర్చ్ చేశాం. 50వ దశకం సినిమా 2026లో ప్రేక్షకులకు నచ్చేలా చేశాం. ఎంతో ప్యాషనేట్ టీమ్ తోడు లేకుంటే ఇలాంటి మూవీ తెరకెక్కించడం సాధ్యం కాదు. డిజో, నేను ఇంకా వేరే ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ చేయాలని కూడా డిస్కషన్స్ చేసుకున్నాం. ఈ మూవీ షూటింగ్ టైమ్ కు నాకు మంచి ఫ్రెండ్ అయ్యాడు డిజో. ప్రొడ్యూసర్ చరణ్, చైతన్య, చాణక్య ఒక టీమ్ లా వర్క్ చేసుకుంటూ తమ కలల్ని నిజం చేసుకుంటున్నారు. నౌఫల్, బ్రిజీష్ లాంటి మంచి ప్రొడ్యూసర్స్ లేకుంటే పళ్లిచట్టంబి లాంటి డ్రీమ్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కంప్లీట్ కాదు. వాళ్లిద్దరు మూవీకి బ్యాక్ బోన్ లా ఉన్నారు. ఒక ముఖ్య పాత్రలో నటించిన శత్రు నాకు మంచి ఫ్రెండ్ అయ్యారు. కయదు ఈ సినిమాలో నటించేటప్పుడు చాలా ప్రిపేర్ అయ్యేది. అప్పుడే నటన పట్ల ఆమెకున్న ప్యాషన్ చూశాను. ఒకేసారి అనేక భాషల్లో నటించడం ఈజీ కాదు. కయదు ఇతర భాషల ఆడియెన్స్ ను కూడా మెప్పిస్తోంది. అలాంటి మంచి కోస్టార్ తో వర్క్ చేయడం హ్యాపీగా ఉంది. ఏప్రిల్ 10వ తేదీ నుంచి పళ్లిచట్టంబి మనందరి మూవీ కాబోతోంది. అన్నారు.
