I believe Lord Shiva chose me to retell the story of Kannappa – Vishnu Manchu 

Dynamic star Vishnu Manchu’s dream project ‘Kannappa’ is gearing up for its grand release. Featuring a stellar cast including Vishnu Manchu, Preity Mukundhan, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Mukesh Rishi and Kajal Aggarwal, the film is produced by Dr. M. Mohan Babu under the banners of Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie is slated for release on June 27. As part of the aggressive promotions, a grand pre-release event was held on June 7 in Guntur.

 *Speaking at the event, Dr. Mohan Babu said:* “My mother was born with a hearing impairment. I always wished she could hear people praising my voice. I teach my students that fear has no place in life, if you haven’t done anything wrong, there’s no need to be afraid.

Kannappa is blessed by Lord Shiva himself. We’ve poured 7–8 years of hard work into this film. I won’t go into how much my son toiled to bring this to life. The effort speaks for itself.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my dear friend Prabhas. We’ve called each other ‘bava’ for years – our bond runs deep. He’s not just a pan-India star but among the top stars globally. He agreed to be part of this film the moment I asked. May he live a hundred years.

Mohanlal is a versatile actor, a true pride of Indian cinema. His recent Malayalam films were huge hits. When asked to be a part of Kannappa, he immediately said yes.

Actors like Sarath Kumar, Akshay Kumar, and Brahmanandam – they were all brought to this film by divine will.

Prabhudeva is ranked as the second-best dance master in the world. He taught me what dance truly is. I request everyone to bless Kannappa, releasing on June 27.”

 *Vishnu Manchu shared:* “Our first Kannappa roadshow was in Guntur. It remains one of our most memorable experiences. I owe this journey to many people. For me, my father is like God. I wouldn’t be here without him, and I must thank him first.

From the start till yesterday, Brahmanandam garu has constantly motivated me. He would call often, saying the film would be grand – his words gave me strength.

Prabhudeva has already seen success as a choreographer, actor, and director. He didn’t have to do three songs for our film, but he did – for that, I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I thank Mukesh Rishi, Siva Balaji, Raghu Babu, and every artist involved. Director Mukesh Singh agreed to helm Kannappa despite not knowing the language.

Our music director committed to the project as early as 2017, even before a timeline was fixed. This is Lord Shiva’s will – every person who worked on this film was chosen by divine design.

I will forever be indebted to my friend Prabhas. He accepted the role not for me, but because of his love and respect for my father. Prabhas didn’t have to play this character. He’s a rare example of how love and respect for elders still matter in today’s world. Please admire him not just for his stardom but also for his character.

Mohanlal is a legendary actor. In life, we all have moments when we question whether God truly exists. From those doubts, devotion arises. We surrender to God. Kannappa explores this journey.

Personally, this film has transformed me. After almost 50 years, we’re retelling the story of Kannappa. I believe Lord Shiva chose me to narrate it once again. We’ve nurtured Kannappa like our own child for many years, and now we are presenting it to you on June 27. I humbly request your blessings.”

*విష్ణు మంచు మాట్లాడుతూ* .. ‘కన్నప్ప ఫస్ట్ రోడ్ షో గుంటూరులోనే జరిగింది. మాకు మెమరబుల్ గా నిలిచిపోయింది. ఈ సినిమా తీయడానికి, నేను ఇక్కడ నిలబడటానికి చాలామంది సాయం చేసారు. నాకు మా నాన్న దేవుడు.. ఆయన లేకపోతే నేను లేను. అందుకే మా నాన్నకి ముందుగా థ్యాంక్స్ చెప్పాలి. ఈ జర్నీ స్టార్ట్ చేసినప్పటి నుంచి నిన్నటి వరకూ కూడా బ్రహ్మానందం గారు ఈ సినిమా విషయంలో ధైర్యం చెబుతూనే ఉన్నారు. నాకు ఫోన్ చేసి సినిమా బ్రహ్మాండంగా ఉంటుంది.. ధైర్యంగా ఉండమని ప్రతీ నిమిషం చెబుతూ వచ్చారు. ప్రభుదేవా ఒక కొరియోగ్రాఫర్‌గా, నటుడిగా, డైరెక్టర్‌గా సక్సెస్ చూసారు. ఆయన పనులన్నీ మానుకొని కన్నప్ప సినిమాకి మూడు పాటలు చేయాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. అయినా మా కోసం చేశారు. అందుకు ఆయనకు ధన్యవాదాలు. ముఖేష్ రిషి, శివ బాలాజీ, రఘుబాబు.. ప్రతీ ఒక్కరికి పేరు పేరునా థ్యాంక్స్. డైరెక్టర్ ముఖేష్ సింగ్ భాష రాకపోయినా ‘కన్నప్ప’ సినిమా చేయడానికి వెంటనే ఒప్పుకున్నారు. సినిమా ఎప్పుడు చేస్తామో తెలియకుండానే 2017లోనే ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ చేయడానికి మ్యూజిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ఒప్పుకున్నారు. ఇది శివాజ్ఞ. ఎవరెవరు ఈ సినిమాలో పనిచేయాలి అనేది శివాజ్ఞతోనే జరిగింది. నా మిత్రుడు ప్రభాస్‌కి నేను ఎప్పటికీ రుణపడి ఉంటా. అతను కన్నప్ప సినిమా చేయడానికి కారణం.. నాన్న మీద ఆయనకు ఉన్న ప్రేమ, గౌరవం. నాన్న కోసం ప్రభాస్ ఈ సినిమా చేసారు కానీ, నాకోసం చేయలేదు. అతనికి ఈ క్యారక్టర్ చేయాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. ఈ కాలంలోనూ పెద్దల పట్ల గౌరవం, స్నేహానికి విలువ ఉందనడానికి ప్రభాస్ ఒక ఉదాహరణ. మీరందరూ అతని స్టార్ డమ్‌ని కాదు, అతని వ్యక్తిత్వాన్ని ప్రేమించండి. మోహన్ లాల్ ఒక మహా నటుడు. జీవితంలో ఒక సందర్భంలో మనందరికీ దేవుడు నిజంగానే ఉన్నాడా అనే డౌట్ ఉంటుంది. అక్కడి నుంచే భక్తి పుడుతుంది. దేవుడికి దాసోహం అవుతాం. కన్నప్ప సినిమా కూడా అంతే.  ఈ ప్రయాణం ఒక వ్యక్తిగా నన్ను చాలా మార్చింది. దాదాపు 50 ఏళ్ళ తర్వాత కన్నప్ప కథను చిత్రీకరించాం. యాభై ఏళ్ల తర్వాత కన్నప్ప కథను మరోసారి చెప్పరా అని శివుడు నన్ను ఎన్నుకున్నాడని నేను భావిస్తున్నా. కన్నప్పను ఎన్నో సంవత్సరాలుగా ఒక బిడ్డగా చూసుకున్నాం. జూన్ 27న మీ ముందుకు తీసుకొస్తున్నాం. అందరూ ఆశీర్వదించాలని మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

*బ్రహ్మానందం మాట్లాడుతూ* .. ‘‘కన్నప్ప’ చిత్రంలో విష్ణు బాబు అద్భుతంగా ఉన్నారు. ప్రతీ విషయాన్ని ఆయన మానిటర్‌లో చూసుకునే వారు. గ్రాఫిక్స్, వీఎఫ్ఎక్స్ విషయంలో అన్ని జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకున్నారు. నిర్మాతగా మోహన్ బాబు  పేరు ఉంటుంది.. కానీ నిర్మాతగా, హీరోగా విష్ణు చాలా కష్టపడ్డారు. మోహన్ లాల్, అక్షయ్ కుమార్, ప్రభాస్, శరత్ కుమార్ వంటి వారు అద్భుతంగా నటించారు. ఈ చిత్రం పెద్ద హిట్ అవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను’ అని అన్నారు.

*రఘు బాబు మాట్లాడుతూ* .. ‘కన్నప్ప సినిమా ఒక రేంజ్. ఈ సినిమాను కనువిందు చేసేలా న్యూజిలాండ్ లో తీశారు. అబ్బురపరిచే లొకేషన్స్ లో తీశారు. కామెడీ, యాక్షన్, ఎంటర్ టైన్ మెంట్ అన్నీ కలిసి ఉండే భక్తి సినిమా కన్నప్ప. ఈ సినిమా గురించి ఎంత చెప్పినా తక్కువే. ఈ షూటింగ్ లో బాగా ఎంజాయ్ చేశాం. సినిమా చూశాక మీరు కూడా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తారు’ అన్నారు. 

*శివ బాలాజీ మాట్లాడుతూ* .. ‘ఈ కన్నప్ప సినిమా తరతరాలు నిలిచి ఉంటుంది. మనం కలియుగంలో ఉన్నాం. కొందరు ఇన్ఫ్లుయన్సర్స్ నెగెటివ్ టాక్ స్ప్రెడ్ చేస్తున్నారు. దేవుణ్ణి ఒక్కటే కోరుకుంటున్నా.. అలా నెగెటివ్ టాక్ స్ప్రెడ్ చేసే వారిని భస్మం చేసే శక్తి మాకివ్వండి’ అన్నారు.
