Directed by debutant Gopi Atchara, Hey Balwanth stars Suhas and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles, with Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, and Sudarshan playing key supporting characters. The film is produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the banner of Trishul Visionary Studios. గుంటూరు నేపథ్యంలో ‘హే బల్వంత్’ సినిమాను రూపొందించారు. యువకుడైన కృష్ణ(సుహాస్)కు తండ్రి వ్యాపారాన్ని కొనసాగించాలనే ఆసక్తి ఉంటుంది. అయితే తన తండ్రి చేసే వ్యాపారం ఏదో తెలియటంతో తను షాకవుతాడు. అదే సమయంలో మిత్ర(శివానీ నాగరం)తో ప్రేమలో ఉంటాడు. మిత్ర ఓ ఎన్జీఓను నడుపుతుంటుంది. ప్రేమ, నైతిక విలువలు, తన తండ్రి రావు బాల్వంత్ చేస్సే బిజినెస్ విషయం తెలిస్తే ఏమవుతుందనే ఆలోచనల మధ్య కృష్ణ ఇరుక్కుపోతాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో వచ్చే కడుపుబ్బా నవ్వించే కామెడీ, తండ్రీ కొడుకు మధ్య అనుబంధం, అసలేం జరిగిందనే నిజానిజాలు, చివరకు ఎలాంటి నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు అనేదే అసలు కథాంశంగా సినిమా రూపొందింది.
