Haiku Cinema Shoot Wrapped

Actress Sridevi Apalla, who earned widespread appreciation from Telugu audiences with her performance in Court, has completed shooting for her next multilingual venture, Haiku. She stars alongside Aegan and ‘Minnal Murali’ fame Femina George in the upcoming film, produced by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the Vision Cinema House banner. Written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy, Haiku has officially wrapped principal photography and entered post-production after nearly 90 call sheets spread across four schedules.

Sharing his thoughts on completing the film, director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy said, “Completing Haiku is an emotional and deeply satisfying moment for our entire team. I sincerely thank our producers, Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu, for believing in this story from the very beginning and for giving me complete creative freedom throughout the journey. Their trust allowed us to bring the film to life exactly as we had envisioned it. Working with Aegan, Sridevi, Femina George and every member of our cast and crew has been an enriching experience. Producers Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu said reaching this milestone has been immensely gratifying. They praised director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy for his clarity, sincerity and disciplined approach throughout production, adding that the film has taken shape exactly as they had hoped. They also expressed confidence that audiences will connect with the film’s emotional core when it reaches theatres after post-production completes.

Apart from Aegan and Sridevi, the ensemble cast includes Femina George, Adrichi Arun, Mime Gopi, ‘Sathyam Sundaram’ fame Indhumathi, ‘Lubber Pandhu’ fame Jenson, ‘Sirai’ fame Ismatha Banu, Doctor Shiva and several other notable performers. The technical team comprises Hari Haran Ram (Additional Screenplay), Priyesh Guruswamy (Cinematography), Sakthi Pranesh (Editing), Siddhu Kumar (Music) and Prem (Art Direction).

Even before completing production, Haiku achieved a significant milestone by securing its post-theatrical digital streaming rights with Netflix. At a time when digital acquisitions have become increasingly selective, the early OTT deal reflects the confidence in the film’s storytelling and universal emotional appeal. With principal photography now complete, the makers have shifted their focus to post-production; more updates on the film are expected in the coming months.

డైరెక్టర్ యువరాజ్ చిన్నసామి మాట్లాడుతూ, ‘‘‘హైకూ’ సినిమాను అనుకున్న ప్లానింగ్ ప్రకారం పూర్తి చేశాం. ఇది మా ఎంటైర్ టీమ్‌కు చాలా ఎమోషనల్, హ్యాపీ మూమెంట్. కథను నమ్మి నాకు పూర్తి క్రియేటివ్ ఫ్రీడమ్ ఇచ్చిన మా నిర్మాతలు డా. డి. అరుళానందుగారికి, మాథేవో అరుళానందు గారికి ప్రత్యేకమైన ధన్యవాదాలు. ఓ డైరెక్టర్ విజన్‌కు అండగా నిలిచే నిర్మాతలు దొరకడం అదృష్టం. ఆ విషయంలో నాకు నిర్మాతల నుంచి తిరుగులేని మద్దతు లభించడాన్ని మరచిపోలేను. వాళ్లు మాపై ఉంచిన నమ్మకాన్ని నిలబెట్టుకున్నామని అనుకుంటున్నాం. ఎందుకంటే మేం ఊహించిన దానికంటే సినిమా బాగా వచ్చింది. శ్రీదేవి, ఏగన్, ఫెమినా జార్జ్‌తో పాటు ఇతర నటీనటులు, టెక్నీషియన్స్ ఇచ్చిన సహకారంతో ‘హైకూ’ సినిమాను హృదయానికి హత్తుకునేలా, భావోద్వేగమైన చిత్రంగా, ప్రేక్షకులకు మంచి థియేట్రికల్ ఫీల్‌నిచ్చే మూవీలాగా రూపొందిస్తున్నాం. విజన్ సినిమా హౌస్ భవిష్యత్తులో చాలా మంది యువ దర్శకులకు చక్కటి వేదికగా మారుతుందని నేను గట్టిగా నమ్ముతున్నాను’’ అన్నారు.

నిర్మాతలు డా. డి. అరుళానందు, మాథేవో అరుళానందు మాట్లాడుతూ, ‘‘‘హైకూ’ సినిమా మొత్తం చిత్రీకరణ పూర్తయ్యింది. పోస్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ పనులు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. కథపై డైరెక్టర్‌కు ఉన్న స్పష్టత, మేకింగ్‌లో తను చూపిన నిజాయితీ, క్రమశిక్షణతో సినిమా ఔట్‌పుట్ చాలా బాగా వచ్చింది. సినిమాలోని ఎమోషన్స్ ఆడియెన్స్‌కు బాగా కనెక్ట్ అవుతాయి’’ అన్నారు.

శ్రీదేవి, ఏగన్, ఫెమినా జార్జ్ ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించిన ఈ చిత్రంలో అదిర్చి అరుణ్, మైమ్ గోపి, ‘సత్యం సుందరం’ ఫేమ్ ఇందుమతి, ‘లబ్బరు పందు’ ఫేమ్ జెన్సన్, ‘సిరాయ్’ ఫేమ్ ఇస్మత్ బాను, డాక్టర్ శివ తదితరులు ఇతర పాత్రల్లో కనిపించనున్నారు. హరిహరన్ రామ్ అదనపు స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే అందించగా, ప్రియేష్ గురుస్వామి సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ అందించారు. ఎడిటర్‌గా శక్తి ప్రాణేష్, మ్యూజిక్ డైరెక్టర్‌గా సిద్ధు కుమార్, ఆర్ట్ డైరెక్టర్‌గా ప్రేమ్ వర్క్ చేశారు.

రీసెంట్ టైమ్‌లో డిజిటల్ ప్లాట్‌ఫార్మ్స్ చాలా సెలెక్టివ్‌గా కంటెంట్‌ను ఎంపిక చేసుకుంటున్నాయి. ఇలాంటి క్రమంలో ‘హైకూ’ సినిమా చిత్రీకరణ పూర్తయ్యేలోపే సినిమా పోస్ట్-థియేట్రికల్ డిజిటల్ స్ట్రీమింగ్ హక్కులను నెట్‌ఫ్లిక్స్ సొంతం చేసుకోవడం విశేషం. మేకింగ్ సమయంలోనే ఓటీటీ డీల్ కుదరడం అంటే సినిమా కథా బలం, యూనివర్సల్ ఎమోషనల్ అప్పీల్‌పై ఉన్న నమ్మకాన్ని చూపిస్తోంది. ప్రస్తుతం పోస్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ వర్క్స్ శరవేగంగా జరుగుతున్నాయి. త్వరలోనే ఈ సినిమాకు సంబంధించి మరిన్ని అప్‌డేట్స్ వచ్చే అవకాశాలున్నాయి.
