No One Wins the Rs. 1 Crore Contest for Killer.. Rs.1 Lakh Each to 10 Participants Who Came Close to the Correct Answer – Poorvaaj
Recently released in theatres, KilleR offered audiences a thrilling cinematic experience. The film’s unique Rs. 1 crore contest campaign received an overwhelming response, with the makers announcing a reward of Rs. 1 crore for anyone who could correctly predict the second-half twist. Following the film’s release and its theatrical run, actor, producer and director Poorvaaj, along with heroine Jyothi Poorvaj, shared details about the contest and its winners.
Speaking on the occasion, heroine Jyoti Poorvaj said, “Our film has received a good response from audiences, along with positive reviews from critics. Some people also shared their suggestions, which we have taken into consideration. Overall, we are happy with the response and the business of the film. We are looking forward to making more good films like this.”
Actor, producer and director Poorvaaj said, “The promotional campaign we created for Killer generated a lot of curiosity among audiences. However, due to some unforeseen reasons, the theatrical response was not as strong as we had expected. The film collected around Rs. 2 crore in gross theatrical revenue. Including OTT and other business avenues, we have received returns of approximately Rs. 8 crore. Since our investment was Rs. 5 crore, we are happy to be in a profitable position.
“We would also like to share the details of our Rs. 1 crore contest. We initially asked audiences to send their prediction of the second-half twist in a single line, within five minutes of the film’s interval. However, since premieres began at different timings in some locations, including 10 PM, 10:30 PM and 10:45 PM, we extended the response window from five minutes to 30 minutes.
“We received screenshots containing answers from nearly 5,000 participants. However, nobody managed to predict the exact answer we had in mind. Nevertheless, we selected 10 participants whose answers came closest to the actual twist. They are Nagendra (Hyderabad), Keshava Sharma (Vizag), Murali (Hyderabad), Sagar (Vizag), Gopi (Hyderabad), Hari (Vizag), Kala (Vizag), Dhruv (Hyderabad), Venkat Naidu (Hyderabad) and Bhanu (Hyderabad).
“We will be awarding Rs. 1 lakh each to these 10 winners, amounting to a total prize money of Rs. 10 lakh. We will also host a lunch with all the winners. Killer 2 is also in the plans, and we will share more details soon.”

ఇటీవలే థియేట్రికల్ రిలీజ్ కు వచ్చి ప్రేక్షకులు థ్రిల్లింగ్ సినిమాటిక్ ఎక్సిపీరియన్స్ ఇచ్చింది “కిల్లర్” మూవీ. ఈ సినిమాకు చేసిన కోటి రూపాయల కాంటెస్ట్ ప్రమోషన్ హ్యూజ్ రెస్పాన్స్ తెచ్చుకుంది. సినిమా సెకండాఫ్ ట్విస్ట్ చెప్పిన వారికి కోటి రూపాయల బహుమతి ఇస్తామంటూ మేకర్స్ ప్రకటించారు. సినిమా రిలీజై సక్సెస్ అయిన నేపథ్యంలో ఈ కోటి రూపాయల కాంటెస్ట్ గురించి వివరాలు తెలిపారు యాక్టర్, ప్రొడ్యూసర్, డైరెక్టర్ పూర్వాజ్, హీరోయిన్ జ్యోతి పూర్వజ్.

యాక్టర్, ప్రొడ్యూసర్, డైరెక్టర్ పూర్వాజ్ మాట్లాడుతూ – “కిల్లర్” సినిమాకు మేము చేసిన ప్రమోషన్ ప్రేక్షకుల్లో క్యూరియాసిటీ క్రియేట్ చేసింది. అయినా అనుకోని కారణాల వల్ల మేము ఆశించినంత థియేట్రికల్ రెస్పాన్స్ రాలేదు. 2 కోట్ల రూపాయల గ్రాస్ వసూళ్లు దక్కాయి. ఓటీటీ, ఇతర బిజినెస్ కలిపి 8 కోట్ల రూపాయల దాకా రిటర్న్స్ వచ్చాయి. మా పెట్టుబడి 5 కోట్లకు 8 కోట్ల రూపాయలు రావడం వల్ల బిజినెస్ పరంగా లాభాల్లోనే ఉన్నాం. కోటి రూపాయల కాంటెస్ట్ గురించి ఆ వివరాలు చెప్పాలనుకుంటున్నాం. మేము సినిమా ఇంటర్వెల్ అయిన 5 నిమిషాలకు సెకండాఫ్ ట్విస్ట్ ఒక్క లైన్ లో పంపాలని చెప్పాం. కానీ మా సినిమాకు కొన్ని చోట్ల రాత్రి 10, 10.30, 10.45 గంటలకు ప్రీమియర్స్ పడ్డాయి. అందుకే ఇచ్చిన 5 నిమిషాలు టైమ్ ను 30 నిమిషాలకు పెంచాం. అందులో తమ సమాధానాలతో మాకు 5 వేల మంది స్క్రీన్ షాట్స్ పంపారు. వాటిలో మేము అనుకున్న ఆన్సర్ ఎవరూ చెప్పలేకపోయారు. అయినా దగ్గర దగ్గరగా ఆన్సర్ పంపిన 10 మందిని సెలెక్ట్ చేశాం. వారు నాగేంద్ర (హైదరాబాద్) కేశవశర్మ (వైజాగ్), మురళి (హైదరాబాద్), సాగర్ (వైజాగ్), గోపి (హైదరాబాద్), హరి (వైజాగ్), కళ (వైజాగ్), ధృవ్ (హైదరాబాద్), వెంకట్ నాయుడు (హైదరాబాద్), భాను (హైదరాబాద్). వీరి ఒక్కొక్కరికి లక్ష రూపాయల చొప్పున 10 లక్షల బహుమతి ఇవ్వబోతున్నాం. ఈ విజేతలతో కలిసి లంచ్ చేస్తాం. త్వరలో కిల్లర్ 2 సినిమా కూడా ఉంటుంది. అన్నారు.
