To be honoured with two National Awards is a significant milestone for everyone associated with Kalki 2898 AD, and a recognition of the creativity and craft that went into its making.

72వ జాతీయ చలనచిత్ర అవార్డుల ప్రదానోత్సవం ఘనంగా జరిగింది. ఈ వేడుకలో ఇండియన్ స్క్రీన్స్ పై బిగ్గెస్ట్ హిట్‌గా చరిత్ర సృష్టించిన ‘కల్కి 2898 ఏడీ’ చిత్రానికి రెండు ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక జాతీయ అవార్డులు లభించాయి. వైజయంతీ మూవీస్ బ్యానర్‌పై తెరకెక్కిన ‘కల్కి 2898 ఏడీ’ చిత్రానికి బెస్ట్ పాపులర్ ఫిల్మ్ ప్రొవైడింగ్ హోల్‌సమ్ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్ అవార్డు దక్కింది. అలాగే సినిమాకు అద్భుతమైన ప్రపంచాన్ని సృష్టించడంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించిన ప్రొడక్షన్ డిజైనర్ నితిన్ జిహానికి బెస్ట్ ప్రొడక్షన్ డిజైనర్ అవార్డు లభించింది.

చిత్ర దర్శకుడు నాగ్ అశ్విన్, నిర్మాతలు అశ్వినీదత్, స్వప్నదత్ అవార్డుల ప్రదానోత్సవంలో పాల్గొని అవార్డులు అందుకున్నారు.
