Dr. Naresh Vijayakrishna Felicitated by the Hon’ble Governor of Goa .55 golden years in cinema  

Versatile actor Navarasaraya Dr. Naresh Vijayakrishna was accorded the rare honour of being felicitated by the Hon’ble Governor of Goa, H.E. Sri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, at the Raj Bhavan, Goa, on the occasion of the 76th birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi.

The Governor congratulated Dr. Naresh vk  on completing 55 illustrious years in the Indian film industry and felicitated him at the historic Raj Bhavan.

Dr. Naresh received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from members of the Telugu community of goa
.  He was subsequently received at lok  Bhavan, where he was given a tour of the historic property and hosted for tea by the Hon’ble Governor.

During the interaction, Dr. Naresh presented his professional profile, highlighting his extensive journey in cinema as well as his social and diplomatic engagements. He presently serves  the National Academy of Security & Defence Planning, a wing of UNIGO, in the capacity of ambassador, hon Colonel  indian command.

A Journey Spanning Five and a Half Decades

Dr. Naresh began his remarkable cinematic journey as a child artiste with Pandanti Kapuram in 1972. A decade later, he made his debut as a leading actor with the 1982 blockbuster Nalugu Stambhalata.

He went on to establish himself as a versatile performer with memorable films including Srivaariki Premalekha, Police Bharya, Chitram Bhalare Vichitram, Jamba Lakidi Pamba and several other successful films.

His journey, however, extended far beyond cinema.

After a long innings in public life and politics, during which he held various positions in the BJP at the state and national levels,
 Dr. Naresh turned increasingly towards social service.

One of his significant areas of focus has been the revival and restoration of water bodies in Rayalaseema, particularly in the Anantapur region. He has also actively worked towards the preservation and promotion of the traditional and dying arts of Rayalaseema, an effort he continues to support.

A Powerful Second Innings

Dr. Naresh’s second innings in cinema began taking active shape in the 2000s. Since then, his career has witnessed a remarkable resurgence, with the actor successfully taking on both character-driven and leading roles.

Today, he is regarded as one of the busiest and most sought-after actors in the Telugu film industry, with several major pan-India projects in his fold.

What makes his current phase particularly remarkable is his strong connect with a younger generation of audiences. With a sizeable Gen Z following, several young filmmakers are looking at Dr. Naresh for bold, unconventional and distinctly different roles that explore new dimensions of his versatility.

55 ఏళ్ల విశిష్ట సినీ ప్రయాణాన్ని పూర్తి చేసుకున్న సందర్భంగా వెర్సటైల్ యాక్టర్ నవరసరాయ డా. నరేష్ విజయకృష్ణకు గోవా గవర్నర్ ఘన సత్కారం

వెర్సటైల్ యాక్టర్ నవరసరాయ డా. నరేష్ విజయకృష్ణకు అరుదైన గౌరవం లభించింది. భారత ప్రధానమంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ 76వ జన్మదినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా గోవా రాజ్‌భవన్‌లో నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమంలో గోవా గౌరవనీయ గవర్నర్  శ్రీ పూసపాటి అశోక్ గజపతి రాజు, డా. నరేష్‌ను ఘనంగా సత్కరించారు.

భారతీయ సినీ పరిశ్రమలో 55 ఏళ్ల సుదీర్ఘ, విశిష్ట ప్రయాణాన్ని పూర్తి చేసుకున్న సందర్భంగా గవర్నర్ డా. నరేష్‌ను అభినందించి రాజ్‌భవన్‌లో సత్కరించారు.

గోవాలోని తెలుగు కమ్యూనిటీ సభ్యులు డా. నరేష్‌కు ఘన స్వాగతం పలికారు. అనంతరం ఆయనను లోక్‌భవన్‌కు ఆహ్వానించగా, అక్కడ చారిత్రాత్మక భవనాన్ని సందర్శించారు. గౌరవనీయ గవర్నర్ ఆయనకు టీ విందు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా జరిగిన సమావేశంలో డా. నరేష్ తన ప్రొఫెషనల్ ప్రొఫైల్‌ను గవర్నర్‌కు వివరించారు. సినీ రంగంలో తన సుదీర్ఘ ప్రయాణంతో పాటు సామాజిక, దౌత్యపరమైన కార్యక్రమాల్లో తన అనుబంధాన్ని వివరించారు. ప్రస్తుతం UNIGOకు చెందిన నేషనల్ అకాడమీ ఆఫ్ సెక్యూరిటీ & డిఫెన్స్ ప్లానింగ్లో అంబాసిడర్, హానరరీ కల్నల్ ఇండియన్ కమాండ్ హోదాల్లో సేవలందిస్తున్నారు.

ఐదున్నర దశాబ్దాల సినీ ప్రయాణం:
డా. నరేష్ తన అద్భుతమైన సినీ ప్రయాణాన్ని 1972లో ‘పండంటి కాపురం’ చిత్రంతో బాలనటుడిగా ప్రారంభించారు. దశాబ్దం తర్వాత 1982లో బ్లాక్‌బస్టర్ ‘నాలుగు స్తంభాలాట’తో హీరోగా అరంగేట్రం చేశారు.

ఆ తర్వాత ‘శ్రీవారికి ప్రేమలేఖ’, ‘పోలీస్ భార్య’, ‘చిత్రం భలారే విచిత్రం’, ‘జంబలకిడి పంబ’ వంటి ఎన్నో విజయవంతమైన చిత్రాల్లో విభిన్నమైన పాత్రలు పోషిస్తూ తనకంటూ ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నారు.

ఆయన ప్రయాణం సినిమాలకే పరిమితం కాలేదు. ప్రజా జీవితం, రాజకీయాల్లో సుదీర్ఘ కాలం కొనసాగిన డా. నరేష్.. రాష్ట్ర, జాతీయ స్థాయిలో బీజేపీలో వివిధ బాధ్యతలు నిర్వహించారు. అనంతరం సామాజిక సేవ వైపు మరింతగా దృష్టి సారించారు.

ముఖ్యంగా రాయలసీమ ప్రాంతంలో, అందులోనూ అనంతపురం ప్రాంతంలో చెరువులు, ఇతర నీటి వనరుల పునరుద్ధరణ, సంరక్షణ కోసం ఆయన కృషి చేశారు. అలాగే రాయలసీమకు చెందిన సంప్రదాయ, అంతరించిపోతున్న కళలను పరిరక్షించడం, వాటిని ప్రోత్సహించడం కోసం కూడా ఆయన నిరంతరం పనిచేస్తున్నారు.

సెకండ్ ఇన్నింగ్స్‌లోనూ అదే జోరు
2000వ దశకంలో డా. నరేష్ సినీ కెరీర్‌లో సెకండ్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ మరింత యాక్టివ్‌గా మొదలైంది. అప్పటి నుంచి క్యారెక్టర్ డ్రైవెన్ పాత్రలతో పాటు లీడ్ రోల్స్‌లోనూ నటిస్తూ తన కెరీర్‌లో అద్భుతంగా కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.  

ప్రస్తుతం తెలుగు చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలో అత్యంత బిజీగా, డిమాండ్ ఉన్న నటుల్లో ఒకరిగా కొనసాగుతున్నారు. పలు కీలక పాన్ ఇండియా ప్రాజెక్టుల్లో ఆయన భాగమయ్యారు.

ప్రస్తుతం ఆయనకు యువతతో ఏర్పడిన బలమైన కనెక్షన్ మరింత ప్రత్యేకమైనది. Gen Z ఆడియన్స్‌లోనూ ఆయనకు మంచి ఫాలోయింగ్ ఉంది. దీంతో పలువురు యువ దర్శకులు ఆయనలోని వైవిధ్యాన్ని మరింతగా ఆవిష్కరించేలా బోల్డ్, అన్‌కన్వెన్షనల్, డిఫరెంట్ పాత్రల కోసం ఆయనను సంప్రదిస్తున్నారు.
