Nimmakaya.. Neekenduku Bhayam Movie Launched Grandly

A new Telugu film that aims to expose superstitions still prevalent in modern society through an engaging and suspense-filled narrative has been officially launched. Titled “Nimmakaya.. Neekenduku Bhayam” (Why Are You Afraid of a Lemon?), the film stars Rajesh Bhupathi, Swapna Raj and Abitha in the lead roles, with veteran actors Suman and Amani playing pivotal characters.

Produced under the BVC Films banner, the film marks the directorial venture of Roshi Reddy Pandillapalli, who earlier earned appreciation for his film “Itlu.” The movie was formally launched with traditional pooja ceremonies at Sarathi Studios, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.

The muhurtham shot was inaugurated by PCC General Secretary Uppala Srinivas Gupta, who sounded the clapboard. Lion Venkat switched on the camera, while TFCC Chairman Prathani Ramakrishna directed the first shot. Several distinguished guests attended the event and extended their best wishes to the film’s team.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran actor Suman said, “The story of this film is filled with interesting horror and thriller elements. I liked the script very much. It is a pleasure to share screen space with actress Amani once again. The government should introduce special subsidies and incentive schemes to encourage small-budget producers. Only when small films survive can thousands of people in the film industry continue to earn their livelihood.”

Director Roshi Reddy Pandillapalli said, “This film is being made with the intention of creating awareness about the superstitions that still exist among people. We have chosen the myths surrounding the lemon as the central theme and are presenting it in an entertaining yet thought-provoking manner. A major portion of the story is inspired by real-life incidents. Suman and Amani are playing key roles in the film.”
Lead actor Rajesh Bhupathi, who is making his debut with the film, said, “This is my first film, and I am delighted to begin my career with such a unique subject. Even today, many people associate lemons with superstitions. Our film presents these beliefs from a fresh perspective while revealing the truth behind them. I am confident audiences will enjoy it. I sincerely thank the director and producer for giving me this opportunity.”

PCC General Secretary Uppala Srinivas Gupta said, “Suman, who won the hearts of audiences with his portrayal of Lord Venkateswara in the iconic role of Kaliyuga Venkateswara Swamy, is playing a crucial role in this film. I wholeheartedly wish ‘Nimmakaya.. Neekenduku Bhayam’ a grand success.”

Expressing his gratitude, director Roshi Reddy Pandillapalli said, “I sincerely thank everyone who accepted our invitation, attended the launch ceremony and blessed our team. We are committed to delivering a fresh, entertaining and meaningful film that audiences will enjoy.”

Several members of the film fraternity attended the launch event and congratulated the team. Having already generated curiosity with its distinctive title, the makers announced that the regular shooting of the film will commence in August.

ఘనంగా ప్రారంభమైన ‘నిమ్మకాయ.. నీకెందుకు భయం’ చిత్రం

ఆధునిక కాలంలోనూ మూఢనమ్మకాలను ఎండగట్టే ఉత్కంఠ రేపుతూ ఆసక్తికరంగా సాగే కథనంతో తెలుగు తెరపైకి ఓ సినిమా రాబోతుంది. రాజేష్ భూపతి, స్వప్నరాజ్, అబిత హీరో హీరోయిన్లుగా,  ప్రముఖ నటుడు సుమన్, ఆమని ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో, బి.వి.సి ఫిల్మ్స్ బ్యానర్‌పై, ‘Eట్లు’ సినిమాతో మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకున్న రోశిరెడ్డి పందిళ్లపల్లి దర్శకుడిగా . విభిన్న కథా చిత్రం ‘నిమ్మకాయ.. నీకెందుకు భయం’ ఘనంగా ప్రారంభమైంది. హైదరాబాద్‌లోని అమీర్‌పేట సారథి స్టూడియోస్‌లో శాస్త్రోక్తంగా పూజా కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించి చిత్రాన్ని లాంఛనంగా ప్రారంభించారు.

ముహూర్తపు సన్నివేశానికి పీసీసీ జనరల్ సెక్రటరీ ఉప్పల శ్రీనివాస్ గుప్తా క్లాప్ కొట్టారు. లయన్ వెంకట్ కెమెరా స్విచ్ ఆన్ చేయాగా, తొలి షాట్ కు టీఎఫ్‌సీసీ చైర్మన్ ప్రతాని రామకృష్ణ దర్శకత్వం వహించారు. పలువురు అతిథులు చిత్ర బృందానికి శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియజేశారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా నటుడు సుమన్ మాట్లాడుతూ, “ఈ సినిమా కథలో హారర్, థ్రిల్లర్ అంశాలు ఎంతో ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉన్నాయి. కథ నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. ఇందులో నటి ఆమనితో కలిసి నటించడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. చిన్న నిర్మాతలను ప్రోత్సహించేలా ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక సబ్సిడీలు, ప్రోత్సాహక పథకాలు తీసుకురావాలి. చిన్న సినిమాలు నిలబడితేనే సినీ పరిశ్రమలో వేలాది మందికి ఉపాధి లభిస్తుంది” అని అన్నారు.

దర్శకుడు రోశిరెడ్డి పందిళ్లపల్లి మాట్లాడుతూ, “ప్రజల్లో ఉన్న మూఢనమ్మకాలపై అవగాహన కల్పించాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందిస్తున్నాం. ‘నిమ్మకాయ’ చుట్టూ ఉన్న అపోహలను కథాంశంగా తీసుకుని వినోదాత్మకంగా, ఆలోచింపజేసేలా సినిమాను తెరకెక్కిస్తున్నాం. కథలో ఎక్కువ భాగం నిజ జీవిత సంఘటనల ఆధారంగా ఉంటుంది. సుమన్, ఆమనీ ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటిస్తున్నారు” అని తెలిపారు.

హీరో రాజేష్ భూపతి మాట్లాడుతూ, “ఇది నాకు తొలి చిత్రం. నిమ్మకాయను ఇప్పటికీ చాలామంది మూఢనమ్మకాలతో అనుసంధానించి చూస్తుంటారు. అలాంటి అంశాలను కొత్త కోణంలో నిజాలను చూపించే ప్రయత్నం ఈ సినిమా. ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి నచ్చుతుంది. నాకు అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన దర్శక నిర్మాతకు ధన్యవాదాలు” అన్నారు.

పీసీసీ జనరల్ సెక్రటరీ ఉప్పల శ్రీనివాస్ గుప్తా మాట్లాడుతూ, “కలియుగ వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి పాత్రతో ప్రేక్షకుల మన్ననలు పొందిన సుమన్ ఈ చిత్రంలో కీలక పాత్ర పోషించడం విశేషం. ‘నిమ్మకాయ.. నీకెందుకు భయం’ చిత్రం ఘన విజయం సాధించాలని ఆకాంక్షిస్తున్నాను” అన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా దర్శకుడు రోశిరెడ్డి పందిళ్లపల్లి మాట్లాడుతూ, “మా ఆహ్వానాన్ని స్వీకరించి, చిత్ర ప్రారంభోత్సవానికి విచ్చేసి ఆశీర్వదించిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ హృదయపూర్వక ధన్యవాదాలు. ప్రేక్షకులకు కొత్తదనంతో కూడిన వినోదాన్ని అందించే మంచి చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించేందుకు మా బృందం అంకితభావంతో పనిచేస్తుంది” అని అన్నారు.

ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో చిత్ర యూనిట్ సభ్యులతో పాటు సినీ పరిశ్రమకు చెందిన పలువురు ప్రముఖులు పాల్గొని చిత్ర బృందాన్ని అభినందించారు. విభిన్నమైన టైటిల్‌తో ఇప్పటికే ఆసక్తి రేకెత్తిస్తున్న ఈ చిత్రం ఆగస్టు లో రెగ్యులర్ షూటింగ్‌ను ప్రారంభించనున్నట్లు నిర్మాతలు తెలిపారు.
