Dhootha 2 Launched With Puja Ceremony… Nagarjuna Sounds Clapboard

Dhootha turned into a global phenomenon, drawing overwhelming appreciation far beyond Telugu audiences and India. The supernatural thriller struck a chord with viewers across multiple international markets. The first season not only expanded Naga Chaitanya’s reach among digital audiences but also allowed him to explore an entirely different space as a performer. Taking his association with the franchise a step further, Naga Chaitanya is now joining hands with Sharrath Marar as a producer for the sequel, with Annapurna Studios and NorthStar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. backing the project. Director Vikram K Kumar, whose storytelling was one of the biggest strengths of the original, returns to helm the second season. The project was formally launched today with a traditional puja muhurtham ceremony. King Nagarjuna Akkineni who graced the event as the chief guest has sounded the clapboard, besides handing over the script to the makers.

Fresh from the blockbuster success of Thandel and with Vrushakarma awaiting release, Naga Chaitanya has chosen Dhootha 2 as his next major venture. His decision to come on board as a producer reflects the immense confidence he has in the sequel’s story and its potential to surpass the impact of the first season.

Vikram K Kumar has crafted an even more intense and intriguing narrative this time, promising higher stakes, deeper mysteries, and a far more immersive supernatural experience. The sequel is expected to elevate the suspense and psychological thrills that made the original such a massive hit.

Dhootha 2 will also feature Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles, adding further strength to an already exciting ensemble.

Coming to the technical crew, V Mukeshswaran (Suzhal: The Vortex 1st season) handles the cinematography, Ishaan Chhabra provides the music, Pravalya D is the production designer, and Anusha Punjala is the costume designer.

యువ సామ్రాట్ నాగచైతన్య అమెజాన్ ప్రైమ్‌లో విడుదలైన సూపర్‌నేచురల్ థ్రిల్లర్ ‘దూత’తో ఓటీటీలో సంచలన అరంగేట్రం చేశారు.  ‘దూత’ ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా సంచలన విజయాన్ని సాధించింది. ఈ సూపర్‌నేచురల్ థ్రిల్లర్ పలు అంతర్జాతీయ మార్కెట్లలో ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుని గ్లోబల్ ఫెనామెనాన్‌గా నిలిచింది.

తొలి సీజన్ నాగచైతన్యకు డిజిటల్ ప్రేక్షకుల్లో మరింత గుర్తింపును తీసుకురావడమే కాకుండా, నటుడిగా ఆయనలోని మరో కొత్త కోణాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించింది. ఇప్పుడు ఈ ఫ్రాంచైజీతో తన అనుబంధాన్ని మరింత ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్తూ, నాగచైతన్య సీక్వెల్ కోసం నిర్మాతగానూ మారుతున్నారు. శరత్ మరార్‌తో కలిసి అన్నపూర్ణ స్టూడియోస్, నార్త్‌స్టార్ ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్ ప్రైవేట్ లిమిటెడ్ బ్యానర్లపై నిర్మిస్తున్నార.

మొదటి సీజన్‌కు ప్రధాన బలంగా నిలిచిన తన అద్భుత కథన శైలితో విక్రమ్ కె కుమార్ రెండో సీజన్‌కు దర్శకత్వం వహించనున్నారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ను నేడు సాంప్రదాయ పూజా కార్యక్రమాలతో ఘనంగా ప్రారంభించారు. ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరైన కింగ్ నాగార్జున అక్కినేని క్లాప్ కొట్టి, స్క్రిప్ట్‌ను చిత్రబృందానికి అందజేశారు.

తండేల్ బ్లాక్‌బస్టర్ విజయానంతరం ‘వృషకర్మ’ చేస్తున్న నాగచైతన్య తన తదుపరి ప్రధాన ప్రాజెక్ట్‌గా ‘దూత 2’ను ఎంచుకోవడం విశేషం. అంతేకాక నిర్మాతగా కూడా భాగస్వామి కావడం, ఈ కథపై ఆయనకు ఉన్న నమ్మకాన్ని తెలియజేస్తోంది.

ఈసారి విక్రమ్ కె కుమార్ మరింత ఉత్కంఠభరితమైన, మిస్టరీతో నిండిన కథను సిద్ధం చేశారు. మొదటి సీజన్‌ను మించిన స్థాయిలో సస్పెన్స్, సైకాలజికల్ థ్రిల్స్, సూపర్‌నేచురల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్‌తో ప్రేక్షకులకు కొత్త అనుభూతిని అందించనున్నారు.
