Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni Book A Rare Scholarly Endeavour

Renowned senior journalist and author Bhageeratha was lauded for his exceptional research and literary contribution at the book introduction programme of “Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni”, held on Thursday at Film Nagar Cultural Centre.

Presiding over the event as the chief guest, Paruchuri Gopala krishna, President of the Telugu Film Writers Association, remarked that Bhagiratha deserves a Doctorate for his scholarly works such as Shakapurushudu, Tarakaramam, Nagaladevi, and Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni. He stated that if he were part of a university, he would have ensured a doctorate for Bhagiratha. Expressing deep reverence for Krishnaveni Garu, who introduced N.T. Rama Rao to Telugu cinema, he congratulated author Bhagiratha and producer Anuradha Devi for bringing out such a significant biography.

Directors Association President Veera Shankar said that Bhageeratha is a seasoned writer whose books Shakapurushudu and Tarakaramam, released during NTR’s centenary celebrations, stand as testimony to his talent. He added that Nagaladevi and Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni reveal Bhageeratha’s depth as a serious researcher.

Director B. Gopal described Bhageeratha as one of his favourite journalists and writers, praising his distinctive writing style. He said the book vividly presents not only Krishnaveni’s life but also the history of Telugu cinema, and wished Bhagiratha many more honours.

Veteran actress Rojaramani expressed her admiration for Krishnaveni Garu, calling her an inspiration to generations of actresses, and congratulated Bhagiratha and Anuradha Devi for documenting her life story.

Gummadi Gopalakrishna noted that the book was inaugurated last month by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and said he personally witnessed the Chief Minister’s admiration for Bhagiratha. He stated that the book is a priceless contribution to Telugu cinema and opined that a biopic on Krishnaveni could be made solely based on this work.

Professor R. Devanna shared that after reading Nagaladevi, he became an admirer of Bhageeratha and that the book was introduced as a syllabus text for B.Sc. students at Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari last year. He thanked Bhagiratha for giving him the opportunity to write the foreword for Mirzapuram Rani Krishnaveni.

Author Bhageeratha, speaking on the occasion, credited Anuradha Devi as the driving force behind the book and said it would not have been possible without her support. He described Krishnaveni as an extraordinary woman who rose from a humble background to become an iconic actress and producer, whose life continues to inspire younger generations. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for inaugurating the book.The event concluded with journalists and well-wishers felicitating Bhagiratha. Prominent personalities including Maganti Murali Mohan, K.S. Rama Rao, Kaikala Nageswara Rao, K. Ashok Kumar, Rashi Movies Narasimha Rao, D.V.K. Raju, Atluri Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Naga Sushila, Kaja Suryanarayana, Tummala Rangarao, Saripalli Kondala Rao, Vijayalakshmi Pandit, Bikki Krishna, Rama Lakshmi, and Parvathaneni Rambabu were among those who attended the programme.

శకపురుషుడు, తారకరామం, నాగలాదేవి, మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి లాంటి పరిశోధనాత్మక గ్రంథాలను రచించిన భగీరథ డాక్టరేటుకు అర్హుడు , నేను యూనివర్సిటీ లో ఉంటే డాక్టరేట్ ఇప్పించేవాడిని అని తెలుగు సినిమా రచయితల సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు పరుచూరి గోపాలకృష్ణ చెప్పారు.

సీనియర్ జర్నలిస్ట్ రచించిన “మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి” పుస్తక పరిచయ కార్యక్రమం గురువారం ఫిలింనగర్ కల్చరల్ సెంటర్లో జరిగింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిగా వచ్చిన గోపాల కృష్ణ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఎన్. టి. రామారావు గారిని తెలుగు సినిమా రంగానికి పరిచయం చేసిన కృష్ణవేణమ్మ అంటే నాకు ఎంతో గౌరవం, అలాంటి కృష్ణవేణమ్మ జీవిత చరిత్రను వెలువరించిన భగీరధను, నిర్మాత అనురాధాదేవిని నేను మనసారా అభినందిస్తున్నా అని చెప్పారు గోపాలకృష్ణ .

దర్శకుల సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు వీర శంకర్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. భగీరథ గారు చేయి తిరిగిన రచయిత, రామారావు గారి శత జయంతి సందర్భగా వెలువరించిన శకపురుషుడు, తారకరామం పుస్తకాలు ఆయన ప్రతిభకు నిదర్శనం. ఆయన రచన నాగలాదేవి, మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి ఈ రెండు పుస్తకాలు ఆయనలోని గొప్ప పరిశోధకుడిని మనకు పరిచయం చేస్తాయని చెప్పారు.

దర్శకుడు బి. గోపాల్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. భగీరథ నాకు ఇష్టమైన జర్నలిస్టు, రచయిత, ఆయన రాసిన పుస్తకాలన్నీ నేను చదివాను, రచయితగా ఆయనది ఎంతో విలక్షణమైన శైలి. ఈ మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి పుస్తకంలో కృష్ణవేణమ్మ జీవితంతో పాటు తెలుగు సినిమా చరి త్రను కూడా మన కళ్ల ముందు నిలబెట్టారని అన్నారు. భగీరథ కు ఇంకా ఎన్నో గౌరవాలు రావాలని తానూ కోరుకుంటున్నానని గోపాల్ చెప్పారు.

రోజారమణి మాట్లాడుతూ.. కృష్ణవేణమ్మ అంటే నాకు ఎంతో అభిమానం, ఆమె మాలాంటి నటీమణులకు ఆదర్శం, ఆమె జీవిత కథను రచించిన భగీరథ గారిని, అనురాధాదేవి గారిని అభినందిస్తున్నా అని చెప్పారు.

గుమ్మడి గోపాల కృష్ణ మాట్లాడుతూ.. మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి పుస్తకాన్ని గత నెల ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారు ఆవిష్కరించారు, ఆరోజున భగీరథ గారంటే చంద్ర బాబు నాయుడు గారికి ఎంత అభిమానమో నేను ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూశాను, ఈ రోజు ఈ పుస్తకం గురించి ఇంతమంది వెలిబుచ్చిన అభిప్రాయాలు చూస్తుంటే కళారత్న భగీరథ ఎంత పరిశోధన చేసి ఈ గ్రంధాన్ని వెలువరించారో అర్థమవుతుంది. ఈ గ్రంధం తెలుగు సినిమా రంగానికి అపురూమైనది, కృష్ణవేణమ్మ మీద బయోపిక్ తీయవచ్చు, అందుకు ఈ ఒక్క పుస్తకం చాలు అని చెప్పారు.

ప్రొఫెసర్ ఆర్. దేవన్న మాట్లాడుతూ.. భగీరథ రచించిన నాగలాదేవి చదివిన తరువాత ఆయన అభిమాని నయ్యా, బళ్లారిలో శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం లో గత సంవత్సరం బి. ఎస్సీ. విద్యార్థులకు పాఠ్యాంశం గా ప్రవేశపెట్టాం, ఈ మీర్జాపురం రాణి పుస్తకంలో ముందుమాట రాసే అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన భగీరథ గారికి కృతజ్ఞతలు అని చెప్పారు.

పుస్తక రచయిత భగీరథ మాట్లాడుతూ.. మీర్జాపురం రాణి కృష్ణవేణి పుస్తకాన్ని రాయడానికి ప్రధాన కారకురాలు శ్రీమతి అనురాధ దేవి, ఆమె సహకారం లేకపోతే ఈ గ్రంథం వెలువడేదే కాదు, కృష్ణవేణమ్మది విలక్షణమైన జీవితం, సామాన్య కుటుంబంలో పుట్టి అసామాన్యురాలుగా ఎదిగి ఒదిగిన మహానటి, ఆమె జీవితం ఈ తరం వారందరికీ స్ఫూర్తి దాయకం అని చెప్పారు. ఈ పుస్తకాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారికి తానెప్పుడూ రుణపడి ఉంటానని భగీరథ చెప్పారు.
